Ahhh! It’s finally the three day weekend, and after a long week with three block exams, it is very much needed. The third block test today went alright. I got a 92% which, as far as I know, the highest score in the class. A few of us got 92% and we are all pretty much in agreement the test had several questions that were worded really poorly.
The rest of the day, we talked about local (tower) control. Literally, the whole day. It was a very, very long lesson and much of the information was repetitive. Much like in school, the larger part of the being at the academy is learning to play the game in “academy land” while learning to be an Air Traffic Controller. Let’s just say, I’m really glad it’s the weekend.
I don’t have any plans for this weekend. I don’t plan on doing much studying either, besides maybe some actual 7110.65 references (the rulebook for ATC). I hear they have good fireworks here, so I might be able to see some from around here. This evening I might go for a walk and do some airplane spotting.
Have a good Forth of July weekend, everyone!
