With less than a week here in OKC for training, it’s time for me to start thinking about moving out of my long-stay hotel and into different living arrangements into the city I’ll be moving to in a few short weeks.
As my final weekend in OKC comes to a close, I can’t help but feel very thankful to be here, to have been offered the opportunity of a lifetime to pursue my dream that I’ve had for many years.
Last few days have really flown by, so I’ve missed a couple blogs. At any rate, here’s what’s going on in Oklahoma City.
Yesterday (Friday) we ran problem 12 in the TSS labs. It was a busy complex problem, but both of my local runs...
Not much new to report today. Problem 11 was similar to problem 10 which we ran yesterday. Plenty of set ups, fast moving planes, and obnoxious runway 16 departures.
The only reason I didn’t feel super great about my first run was because my lead instructor was monitoring me...
“Bam! Kick it up a notch!” That’s what Don, our lead instructor, told us today (famous words from Emeril). Boy was he right! Holy smokes.
Our traffic count went from high 40s to high 50s today in problem 10. I started off on local (which means I got 3 local runs today, yay!) and it was a big jump from yesterday’s easy problem! It started out...
This morning we ran problem 9. The only real twist with this problem is that it occurs at night time, so a few different rules. Not many differences though. Traffic is still moderately slow at times, but we are up to around mid-50s in terms of the traffic count in the 45 minute run. The end of the problem usually ends with planes still in the air.
A lot of people have mentioned that the PA problems are similar to a mix between...
Not a whole lot to report today. We are back on mornings (much to my dismay) so that was a rude awakening today, but I still made it on time to class (not everyone did...heh).
Today had some weird stuff in the problem, but the traffic was extremely light, despite our instructors claiming the traffic count today...
