TSEW: Departures, Departures, and more FF combined

Departure problems again today, with one classmate running feeder/final on the other side. Things are starting to make much more sense. The first problem today was the same one we did yesterday but this time we had MIT restrictions imposed by TMU out one of the departure gates. Departures wasn’t hard.

Feeder/final was bumping too. First feeder/final run I did with the instructor I yelled at last week for getting on my shit on departures when I had 0 clue what I was doing. He let me run the problem and I think it went pretty well. Second run I did with the C90 instructor who drops f-bombs more than anyone I’ve ever heard. He got a little hands-on but he's a fun guy to work with.

Last instructor run I did departures with the a-lead watching me. I guess he felt it was pretty entertaining because I had an audience watching me run the departure problem. I felt like I did okay (it was on North departures this time, first run was South) and although I was trying to keep up, I ended up having several sep losses which I wasn’t tickled pink about. Either way, I learned a lot from the problem and the instructor said at this point he likes to stay quiet during the run so you actually learn things from it.

Last run was a pro run. Significantly easier than last nights pro-run (the lead told us she was going to run an easier one than last night). Everyone was trying to figure out how to “beat” the problem. I ran an 18-0 problem (18 landed in 30 minutes, 0 errors). One other person did too, but he “cheated” by pulling the heavy out of the problem and spinning them so he didn’t need to buffer in the wake turbulence sep behind the heavy jet. Several other 17-0 runs in the class. I honestly felt that I ran it super sloppy, I was asking the RPOs if I had cleared guys… I must’ve been calling an “American” “United” because the RPOs “got me” and didn’t respond... I really don’t try to get the high score all the time... it just kinda happens. I also thought I had at least 2-3 errors... 1 for sure I felt I busted… and I'm pretty sure I did and the computer didn’t catch it, but whatevs. Maybe it thought I had divergence.
