Not much new to report today. Problem 11 was similar to problem 10 which we ran yesterday. Plenty of set ups, fast moving planes, and obnoxious runway 16 departures.
The only reason I didn’t feel super great about my first run was because my lead instructor was monitoring me, and I got a little nervous. I think of it as good practice for the PAs, where I’ll have someone behind me watching every move I make. The only difference will be the PA evaluator will actually probably care more than my lead instructor does about my passing.
In other news, the preliminary list got updated today with our class number next to several facilities. Within hours, the list was distributed among the class pretty quick. Of course, it’s not official, but it’s the closest they have right now. Of course, this hasn’t been briefed by the placement folks, so I’m hesitant to trust it, in fact, I haven’t even downloaded the list because I’m trying to be patient and wait for the real list from placement. That could change come tomorrow afternoon if we don’t hear from placement by then.
Anyways, two more problems to run, 12 and 13. I only have 4 more runs on local, and then it’s on to the PAs! This weekend will be spent researching facilities, one way or another, and I’ll be sure to post about that when the time comes.
